The following are the procedures to uninstall a program, depending on the version of Windows you have.

Windows Vista and 7

To uninstall or change a program

  1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

  2. Select a program, and then click Uninstall. Some programs include the option to change or repair the program in addition to uninstalling it, but many simply offer the option to uninstall. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for administrator rights, provide confirmation.

Windows 8

To uninstall or change a program

Method 1

  1. Access the Start Menu by pressing the Windows Key or by hovering the cursor in the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Locate the application you would like to uninstall and right click on the icon. A check-mark will appear in the right corner to indicate an application has been selected. Click Uninstall on the toolbar that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. The Programs and Features window will open. Make sure the correct application is highlighted, then press Uninstall.

Method 2

  1. Hover the cursor in the bottom left of the screen to produce the Start Menu image. Right-Click to bring up the Start Context Menu. Click Programs and Features.
  2. In the the Programs and Features window that appears, select the program you wish to uninstall and click Uninstall to remove it.
